Why we exist

In the 20 years since TCF was created, changes to the Tukwila landscape have become apparent. We want to help alleviate obstacles that may have come with the changes:

Demographic shifts which have created a community that is now a majority of color
An increased poverty level which is creating higher levels of need in the schools and for city services
A ripple effect from the Seattle housing market which is increasing housing prices here and contributing to higher mobility
The creation of a 2030 South King County, cradle-to-college/career collective impact initiative (the Road Map Project) which is trying to impact how children from infancy to 24 yrs. of age, and their families, are being supported for success
